Weekend Break to Paris

Paris is my favourite European destination, I've had such good times there and certainly expect to have more.

The Advantages of Paris are many - it is easy to get to, the city is absolutely beautiful, the food is wonderful and it is the Romantic Capital city of the World!

Paris is a manageable size, but has a lot to offer, which makes a weekend break to Paris particularily appealing - it is easy to do a little bit of tourist stuff, a little bit of cultural stuff and still leave time for shopping, nightlife and more!

There are only a few must see buildings, such as the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, so once you've got those under your belt - thus avoiding the, Oh didn't you see conversations once you get back home - you can get on with enjoying the real Paris.

The Real Paris

For me Paris will always be memorable for being the first romantic weekend away I had with a girl!!! Naturally such an important event remains for ever etched into the memory ... although I tend to keep it to myself as said girl has now been replaced with another!!

Another time I had a fabulous weekend with a friend of mine which included a trip to Longchamps, which is where the horse racing is, now I'll admit that I'm not one for going back home but somehow being in Paris makes it so much more exciting - especially when you are a winner!! ... if I remember correctly, enough to pay for a quiet cafe au lait in a very charming bistro, while we pondered the evening ahead.

Paris certainly has some fantastic shops, especially if you are the fashionable type, with some wise purchases you'll be able to wear your trip to Paris way into the future.

However you choose to spend your time there ...
